A pull-from-anytime set, sorted by what it builds. Pick two or three per session — don't run them all.
Wedges & distance control
The Clock System — 50 / 75 / 100
Three backswing lengths (7:30, 9:00, 10:30), not three speeds. Three balls to each distance. Builds known numbers instead of guesses inside 100.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Pick the length, then trust it."
Lay a towel at a target distance and carry it, not the flag. Kills the last-second deceleration that comes from doubt.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Commit to the landing spot."
Bag or chair just behind his backside at address; keep contact through impact. Stops the early extension behind his block-right.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Rear pocket on the chair through the hit."
Same tempo from wedge up through mid-iron, longer swing for more club — never a harder swing. Protects the timing that's already his strength.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Longer, not harder."
Ring of tees 3 to 6 feet around a hole; make all of them in a row or start over. The putts that follow a good approach.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Start line, then speed."
30, 40, 50 feet — leave every ball inside a three-foot circle. Kills the three-putt. It's a speed drill, not a make drill.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "Roll it to the fringe of a bucket."
Green-Light / Fairway-First
On the range, play imaginary holes and call each tee shot before you hit — driver only when the hole allows it, 3-wood when it demands a fairway.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "The driver is a choice, not a default."
After a bad shot, one walk to reset — pick a target, one breath, next shot clean. Practiced when it doesn't matter so it holds when it does.
Coaching Cue
Cue: "One walk, then it's gone."
Building a session: one wedge drill, one full-swing or driver block, one putting block, and finish with a scoring game that makes a bad hole cost something. Rotate which category leads so no part of his game goes stale.
