Brooke's Goals — This Season Into Next
A working sheet, not a wish list. Each goal has a way to tell if it's actually happening — a goal you can't measure is just a hope.
Help the team hit — turn individual talent into team points.
Why it matters: the athleticism and fearlessness are already there; the team-and-performance side is where her talent was getting lost.
- How we'll know: a competition where the team hits clean and she's sharp and right on the count with everyone.
- This week: motions sharp and dead on the count; perform full-out.
Sharp, synced motions.
- How we'll know: a coach or judge notes she's on the count and sharp with the team.
- This week: motions-to-the-count drills in the mirror; flexibility and conditioning.
Perform full-out.
- How we'll know: a competition routine performed at 100% — energy, facials — instead of marked and shrunk.
- This week: full-out run-throughs, never marking.
Work through the tumbling block — no pressure.
- How we'll know: progress on the stuck skill through her coach's progressions, not a forced "just throw it."
- Nobody claps for this one, and it can't be rushed. Patience is the whole strategy.
The one that isn't a skill
Don't shrink under the lights.
- How we'll know: a big competition where she performs full-out instead of pulling back.
- Nobody claps for this one either. But performing full-out is the habit underneath every other goal.
Pick one target every time she trains or competes, put a number on it, and chase it. The goals don't move — the evidence stacks up. (And the block moves on its own timeline — that's normal.)
